Privacy Policy

Markdown Preview does not collect any data. It is a read‑only Markdown viewer that runs entirely on your Mac. We designed it to be private by default, and there is nothing to opt out of.

What we collect

Nothing. Markdown Preview has no accounts, no sign‑in, and no telemetry.

Network access

The app works completely offline. It makes no network requests of its own. The only exception is when a Markdown document you open references a remote image by URL; in that case, your Mac fetches that image directly from the address in your document, exactly as any document viewer would. We never receive or see those requests.

Your files

Documents you open stay on your Mac. The app remembers a list of recent and pinned files and your reading position, stored locally on your device using standard macOS mechanisms. This information never leaves your computer and is not shared with us or anyone else.

Analytics & tracking

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no third‑party tracking of any kind.

Children’s privacy

Because the app collects no data at all, it is safe for users of every age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
